First day in the black forest

We were staying at Seebach which is in the black forest, a region in Germany. In the morning we had a delicious breakfast at the farm bed&breakfast we were staying at. After that, my sisters, mom, and I went for a walk while my dad stayed back to work.  We went in the forest and found a stone water fountain that we could refill our water bottle. Throughout the Black first we found many of these natural spring water “faucets” with delicious water! We also saw a wood cutting factory where they would debark the big logs and then they would organize the log in different piles depending on size. Then they would cut it to make planks. It was fascinating and we stayed for a while to admire it. I thought the black forest was very green, with lots of animals.

We came back to the hotel and drove to get lunch and then drove to the Allerheiligen waterfalls. We hiked around there and found lots and lots of small waterfalls and the ruins of a monastery that was 825 years old!!!! The monastery and the waterfalls were really cool. We then drove to the nearby town to get stuff for dinner (typical ham salad and blood sausage) Back at the hotel we ate the dinner that we had bought, picnic style.

The hotel had a game room with darts and an archery set (along with a pool table and Foosball) that Josie and I played at throughout the day.

I had an amazing first day in the black forest of Germany.
