Going into the Norwegian Fjords & Flåm

We spent Thursday thru Sunday in Oslo, Norway. On Sunday, we went to the Oslo train station and took a train to Myrdal. That train ride took five hours and we were in the family railroad car so there was a little play area in the front of the car. My sisters kept going back and forth for the play area to our seats. When we got to the Myrdal train station (it was tiny and only had 2 tracks), we waited for the Flåm train. On the first train, we had assigned seats, but on the Flåm train it was free seating. The train started in a tunnel (that had some windows for people to look out) and then we went to the bottom of the fjord. it was amazing and was a lot greener than the surroundings at Myrdal.

Before our world trip, our dad gave us his old camera to share, so I got it out to take some pictures. Instead of “some” pictures, we took a LOT of pictures (after the ride we went through them and got rid of the bad ones).  At one point the train stopped and let us out on a platform in front of a huge waterfall and each of us took a lot of pictures.  When we got near Flåm, we saw an old church, cemetery and another big waterfall.  Of the whole train ride I saw probably more than fifty waterfalls. The train ride was one of the most beautiful train rides I will every see.
